Conductor Paul Mauffray – awarded 3rd place in The American Prize Competition for Professional Orchestra Conductors

Conductor Paul Mauffray has been awarded 3rd place in the 2019 American Prize Competition for Professional Orchestra Conductors. This year’s award is Maestro Mauffray’s 5th American Prize Competition Award, and the 4th year in a row that he has received either a 2nd or 3rd place prize. The award was judged based upon videos of recent live concert performances with the Bohuslav Martinu Philharmonic.

Conductor Paul Mauffray’s future activities include performances with the Prague Chamber Orchestra and a return to the Hainburger Haydngesellschaft in Austria. His recent performances include the Orquesta Sinfónica de Salta in Argentina and Hradec Kralov Philharmonic (Czech Republic). Last year, he created a new edition of George Whitefield Chadwick’s Tabasco which he performed at Le Petit Théâtre du Vieux Carré in New Orleans and recorded with the Hradec Kralov Philharmonic.
