Conductor Paul Haas has been appointed Music Director of the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra.  In addition to this position, Maestro Haas is also Music Director of Symphony of Northwest Arkansas. 

Conductor Paul Haas was formerly Music Director of the New York Youth Symphony where, during his tenure, he was awarded the ASCAP-League of American Orchestras Leonard Bernstein Award for Educational Programming, the only time that the award has ever been presented to a youth orchestra.

Conductor Paul Haas is Founder and Artistic Director of Sympho, a visionary orchestra that creates unique musical experiences, collaborating with leading artists and using unexpected performance methods and unorthodox venues.  Maestro Haas also has an active career as a composer and recently was identified by New York Magazine as one of the “New New York School” of composers.
