Conductor Paul Mauffray – awarded 2nd place in The American Prize Competition for Professional Orchestra Conductors

Conductor Paul Mauffray has been awarded 2nd place in The American Prize Competition for Professional Orchestra Conductors.  This is the 4th time that his work with the Hradec Kralove Philharmonic has earned him a place among the finalists for this competition. 

 

Maestro Mauffray has also been initiated as an honorary member and Signature Sinfonian of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia music fraternity's prestigious Alpha Chapter.  ΦMA Sinfonia was founded in 1898 and included George Whitefield Chadwick, Director of the New England Conservatory and composer of the burlesque operetta Tabasco.  Conductor Paul Mauffray created a new edition of Tabasco which was performed at Le Petit Théätre du Vieux Carré in New Orleans in January 2018.
