Principal Conductor for From Classical to Rock, a concert series that brings together platinum selling rock stars with world-renowed classical musicians and a full symphony orchestra comprised of highly talented students.  The concert was created to provide students with a rare opportunity to perform a once-in-a-lifetime show, all of which benefits music education in the community.  The debut concert took place in Irvine, CA at the Barclay Theater in April 2018.  The concert was hosted by Randy Jackson.  It was headlined by Johnny Rzeznik of the Goo Goo Dolls and with very special guest Nancy Wilson (heart).

Co-founder and Music Director of the Lake George Music Festival, the Lake George region's premier summer musical arts festival.  For two weeks every August, the festival brings together professionals, students, faculty, and alumni from many music conservatories and symphonic orchestras in the US and abroad.  Events include chamber music, full orchestral concerts, late night concerts, family concerts, open rehearsals, and pre-performance workshops

  • Voted Best Annual Event by the City of Lake George in 2015
  • New York State Council on the Arts grants totaling $100,000 to establish the Festival as a nationally known cultural destination
  • David Kim, concertmaster of the Philadelphia Orchestra, served as the Festival Orchestra’s concertmaster in 2015
  • Featured in Time Out New York Magazine (August 2015)
  • Orchestra and chamber music performances featured on American Public Media’s Performance Today with Fred Child and WQXR NY
  • Featured guest artists include Fei-Fei Dong, Stephen Waarts, Gabriel Cabezas, Nigel Armstrong
  • Featured resident ensembles include the Donald Sinta Quartet, Brooklyn Art Song Society, Dolce Suono Ensemble, New Morse Code, and arx duo.

The Lake George Music Festival conducts an annual competition to promote the development and dissemination of contemporary classical music. 

  • Previous competitions have been adjudicated by composers David Ludwig, Libby Larsen, David Lang, Donnacha Dennehy, and Jennifer Higdon.
  • Recent commissions include music by Harry Stafylakis, Brandan Faegre, and Michael Djupstrom as well as the music of Andy Akiho, D.J. Sparr and Richard Danielpour
